오각 五閣
펜타Penta의 다섯 의미를 한글로 풀어낸 이름입니다.
오五는 다섯 가지 감각, 방향, 시선, 장르의 의미를 담음과 동시에 세계 보편 기호인 O로 표현되어 원형, 원점, 울림, 열린 구조, 순환의 의미를 담습니다.
각閣은 사유의 확장, 지식의 축적, 감각의 통로, 격조 있는 감성 그리고 예술이 머무는 전당의 의미를 담습니다.
복합문화공간 오각은 선線, 향響, 서書, 담談, 원原 의 다섯 공간으로 이루어져 있습니다.
각각의 공간은 서로 다른 감각과 콘텐츠를 담아내며 독립적이면서도 유기적으로 연결되어, 한 번의 경험이 끝나면 또 다른 경험이 새롭게 시작되는 서사를 만들어갑니다.
미술과 음악, 시각과 청각, 개념과 감성, 공간과 시간이 교차하며 확장되는 구조 속에서, 오각은 다층적 감각을 열어 주는 예술적 공간을 지향합니다.
OGAK 五閣
The name O-Gak translates the meaning of Penta—“five”—into Korean.
O (五) embodies five forms of sense, direction, gaze, and genre.
At the same time, expressed as the universal symbol O, it carries the ideas of the circle, the point of origin, resonance, openness, and cyclical continuity.
Gak (閣) signifies the expansion of thought, the accumulation of knowledge, a passage for sensory experience, refined sensibility, and a hall where art resides.
The cultural complex O-Gak is composed of five spaces : Seon (線), Hyang (響), Dam (談), Seo (書), and Won (原).
Each space holds different senses and contents, functioning independently yet connecting organically to one another.
Through this structure, when one experience concludes, another begins, creating a continuous narrative.
Within a framework where art and music, the visual and the auditory, concept and emotion, space and time intersect and expand,
O-Gak aspires to be an artistic place that opens up multi-layered sensory experiences.
